Choosing The Right Ferrari For You

The path to purchasing your first Ferrari or seventh is exciting, but can also be overwhelming. Ferrari offers a wide variety of cars. From the classic, iconic mid-engined Ferrari feel to classy front-engined GT cars that you would be hard-pressed not to drive every day. Let's look at some scenarios.
1. It's Your First Ferrari!
It is an exciting moment for you. You can now buy one of the most well-known brands in history. What do you choose? So, if your budget lies within $100K to $150K, then you have three great options.
The Ferrari 360 is a mid-engined V8 Ferrari with a production of 1999-2004 and costs lesser than $100K. It is considered a 'First Ferrari,' due to its 400 horsepower. This is a great introduction to the Ferrari experience, with its passion, emotion and soul-stirring high-revving engine. This is an older supercar and it uses a single-clutch F1 paddle shift transmission. The gear changes will not be as smooth or quick as they would be with a dual clutch or automatic transmission. This provides the car with mechanical personality largely unattainable in many contemporary cars.
The Ferrari F430, being the next generation of the 360 is an improvement of almost every respect. The horsepower in the engine is increased to 490.
The transmission is faster and more refined. It still uses a single-clutch gearbox. The exhaust note (in my opinion), is more exotic. This comes at a cost increase of around $30,000 when purchased on the used market. It was well worth it.
The Ferrari California is available for under $100K now and it's a lot more modern. This was the first Ferrari with a dual clutch transmission that shifts quickly (and lasts longer). Cali offers a relaxed, cruiser-like driving experience. It's an open-top Ferrari with a trunk and rear seat (if you have no legs). Even a comfort setting is available. It's not slow. It's a 483 horsepower sports car that sounds great. A fantastic first Ferrari for those who want something more relaxed.
The Ferrari California T turbocharges the California platform to make it faster with an increase of 80 horsepower to 560. The transmission has been refined and is faster than ever before, just like with every new Ferrari generation. California Ts are available for between $130K and $150K, on average. Tampa Auto Gallery Sales and Leasing always has 2 or 3 in stock.
2. Ferraris in the Mid-Level Range
Between $200K and $400K is an area that offers so much variety. It will offer the latest mid-engined V8s or the front-engined V12s. Here are some that Tampa Auto Gallery Sales and Leasing stocks often:
The Ferrari 488, F8, and 458 are three of the most iconic V8 Ferraris of recent times, each having pros and cons to it. (I say cons lightheartedly because they're all subjective). The Ferrari 458 is the last of Ferrari's naturally aspirated V8s. It has an amazing 9,000 RPM top speed and a good chance to hold or appreciate in value for the next few decades. The turbos in the 488 give it an additional 100 horsepower, so while it is faster than a 458 and has a higher pitch sound, this does not translate to screams as loud. The F8 is a car that takes everything to another level, delivering unimaginable speeds and surprising refinement.
Both the Ferrari F12 and 812 have a V12 front-engined engine that is loud, and they are also excellent GT cars. You could drive a Ferrari F12 across the United States, and you would be happy to do so. They're powerful, with nearly 800 horsepower on the 812 to the rear axles, if I may say so. These cars are not for the faint of heart, but they are extremely rewarding.
The Ferrari Roma is probably the most beautiful car that has hit the market over the last 5 years, but the Roma also comes with the "bite back of your hands" design paired with a twin-turbo front-engined V8. That makes a good 612 horsepower and it perfectly balances out between the luxury driving and sports. A good alternative to Aston Martin.

3. Classic Ferraris
If, like me, you are a bit of a retro guy who doesn't mind working your left leg out a little or you miss the mechanical feel from the 80s and 90s, there are a few options for you.
The Ferrari 308 or 328 provides that analog feel that we sorely miss in this digital age. Magnum P.I. You had to have wanted to buy a 308 at some time, and you could be mature enough now to actually do so.
The Ferrari Testarossa is one of the world's most iconic supercars. Even now, the cheese grater look remains as desirable as it did back in 1986. Although maintenance costs are higher than modern cars, the car's coolness is unmatched. Tampa Auto Gallery Sales and Leasing also services these old-school icons.
The Ferrari 550 has a gated V12 with elegant style and brute strength, which is why its value nearly doubled within the last decade. This is a fantastic choice for those looking for a classy and spacious Ferrari.
Conclusion
There are many more models that we have, but the most popular are as mentioned above. If you need further information regarding any of these cars, call us at (813)733-4165.
